About the author:
Jan Lamr (*1983) works with abstract expression and abbreviation. He finds his initial themes for his works in relaxed, lively drawing, for which he usually uses markers with variously thick tips. He further elaborates on selected motifs created by automatic creation on large-scale canvases. He varies them and thoughtfully composes them into abstract structures, creating the impression of a kind of organized chaos. He also turns to ornamental lines, which he repeats and layers, thus creating a sense of a flow or swirling of energies.
